The Helen Keller National Center (HKNC) provides intensive vocational rehabilitation services on a national basis to individuals who are deaf-blind through a comprehensive rehabilitation training center at its headquarters in Sands Point, New York.

This program is designed to establish interpreter training programs or to provide financial assistance for ongoing interpreter programs to train a sufficient number of qualified interpreters through the country to meet the needs of DeafBlind individuals.

The Creating a 21st Century Workforce program supports improved model strategies or programs to transition youth and adults with disabilities to competitive integrated employment.

The Pathways to Partnerships program focuses on improving relationships among agencies supporting transition services for children and youth with disabilities to create a more seamless transition.

The SWTCIE program increases the opportunity for students and youth with disabilities seeking subminimum wage employment and potential vocational rehabilitation participants to obtain competitive integrated employment.
