U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will travel today to Grand Rapids, Michigan, for a school tour of Grand Rapids Public Museum School. Secretary DeVos will learn more about how this school uses the existing public infrastructure to provide enhanced educational opportunities to students.
The visit seeks to answer one of several "why" questions the Secretary poses when talking about the need for innovation in American education—a challenge she calls Rethink School. Today’s visit will consider this question: "Why do students have to go to a school building in the first place?"
