U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos to Host a Summer Reading Event at the Smithsonian with Adviser to the President Ivanka Trump

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos and Adviser to the President Ivanka Trump will team up tomorrow, July 25, to encourage students to stay actively engaged in their education while on summer break. This will be the second summer reading event hosted by Secretary DeVos. It will take place in the Spark!Lab at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History.

This event is a continuation of the Department of Education’s summer reading initiative and will focus specifically on getting girls excited about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Students will have the opportunity to read with Secretary DeVos and Ivanka Trump, explore the Spark!Lab, and take part in several STEM-focused activities.
