Under Secretary to Celebrate Students', School's Success as Broward College Awards Bachelor's Degrees for First Time

Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will celebrate new graduates as she delivers the commencement address at Broward College on Friday, Dec. 17, at 7 p.m. The ceremony is a special one for the school: In addition to celebrating its 50th anniversary, it also will be awarding baccalaureate degrees for the first time. Broward was formerly solely a community college but now offers four-year courses in addition to associate degrees and certificates.
During the remarks, Kanter will highlight her experiences as a teacher and an administrator in higher education and encourage graduates to continue furthering their education. She will congratulate their successes so far and applaud Broward College for expanding its options for students.
