Secretary Duncan, Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair to Participate in Trans-Atlantic Video Conference, Connecting Students from U.S. & United Arab Emirates

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, along with students from Chantilly High School in Fairfax County, Va., will participate Monday in a special trans-Atlantic video conference with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair in London and students from the United Arab Emirates in Dubai.

The conference is part of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation's Face to Faith Schools program. Active in 17 countries, including the United States, Face to Faith brings students ages 12-17 together worldwide using digital technology. The program promotes peace and cross-cultural understanding by creating opportunities for students of different religions, cultures and beliefs to learn directly with, from and about one other.

Secretary Duncan will join the Chantilly students at the Newseum in Washington, while former Prime Minister Blair will appear from London and the U.A.E. students will speak from Dubai.
