Secretary DeVos to Visit Lexington and Benton, Kentucky

U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will join Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin for two events on Wednesday, April 17, 2019.

In Lexington, Secretary DeVos and Governor Bevin will host a roundtable discussion with families, educators, stakeholders and local elected leaders on school choice efforts in Kentucky and how Education Freedom Scholarships could help expand education options in the state.

Following the roundtable, the Secretary and Governor will head to Benton, Kentucky, to announce an additional Project School Emergency Response to Violence (SERV) grant for the Marshall County School District to assist in their ongoing recovery efforts following the Jan. 23, 2018, shooting at Marshall County High School.
