Secretary DeVos to Attend Parents Challenge 20th Anniversary Celebration

The Secretary will highlight group’s work to promote school choice in Colorado, discuss education freedom

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos will deliver remarks and participate in a panel discussion at the 20th Anniversary Celebration for Parents Challenge in Colorado Springs on Wednesday, June 26.

The Secretary’s visit will spotlight the work done by Parents Challenge to empower students and families with more education freedom. The Colorado Springs-based organization helps inform parents on education options available for their children and how to pursue them. Parents Challenge also offers scholarships for local students to attend public and private schools.

Secretary DeVos will deliver brief remarks during the event, followed by a panel discussion titled, “Why Choice Matters.” The discussion will highlight stories of parents and students and demonstrate how education freedom has led to better results for students and their families.
