Secretary Cardona to Visit Turner Elementary School in Washington, DC to Discuss Full-Service Community Schools Grant Program

Tomorrow, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton will visit Anita J. Turner Elementary School in Washington, DC for a tour and a roundtable discussion on the Full-Service Community Schools (FSCS) grant program. Recently, the Department awarded $63 million in new five-year grants for 42 local educational agencies, non-profits, or other public or private entities and institutions of higher education to increase the number of Full-Service Community Schools.

The District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) is one of the grantees that received the award. Press is invited to join for a brief tour of the school and to learn about the FSCS program, followed by the roundtable discussion with educators and community partners. A press gaggle with Secretary Cardona, Representative Holmes Norton, and Dr. Ferebee will end the event.
