Secretary Cardona to Tour Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Campus to Highlight the American Families Plan

On Monday, May 3, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will visit the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Campus in Catonsville, Maryland. He will visit its on-site childcare center and visit a classroom where he will hear directly from community college students about their experience.

The stop comes on the heels of President Biden announcing the American Families Plan, which is a once-in-a-generation investment in the foundations of middle-class prosperity, including education and child care. The American Families Plan will make two years of community college free for all Americans and will provide direct support to families to ensure that low- and middle-income families spend no more than seven percent of their income on child care.
