Secretary Cardona, Senator Manchin, and Senator Murray to Hold Roundtable to Discuss Resources for Students Experiencing Homelessness

Tomorrow, April 23, Secretary Cardona will join Senators Joe Manchin (WV) and Patty Murray (WA), Chair of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP), for a virtual roundtable with students who have experienced homelessness. The students will share their experience with being a student while also experiencing homelessness and the impact the pandemic has had on them and other students who have had similar experiences. Participants will also discuss how the American Rescue Plan includes $800 million in funding that will provide resources to states to support students experiencing homelessness.
