On Tuesday, June 27, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will continue the Biden-Harris Administration’s Invest in America tour with travel to Troy, New York, with U.S. Rep. Paul Tonko where they will focus on career and technical education. They will tour Hudson Valley Community College and then participate in a roundtable where they will learn more about the college’s focus on technical education to propel students into careers of advanced manufacturing, CHIPs, and aviation.
A press gaggle will take place following the event.
This trip is part of President Biden’s Investing in America agenda of growing the American economy from the bottom up and middle-out – from rebuilding our nation’s infrastructure, to driving over $470 billion in private sector manufacturing and clean energy investments in the United States, to creating good paying jobs and building a clean-energy economy that will combat climate change and make our communities more resilient.
