Secretary Cardona to Join Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee to Discuss Importance of Career Pathways and Apprenticeship Programs
On Wednesday, Feb. 21, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to a Hispanic Serving Institution in Warwick, Rhode Island, alongside Gov. Dan McKee to discuss the need for increased career pathways and career and technical education (CTE) programming and apprenticeships, especially in areas that support the Latino community. They will tour the CTE program at Community College of Rhode Island – Knight Campus and speak with students and leaders of the RI Reconnect.
A press gaggle will take place following the event.
This trip is part of President Biden’s Investing in America tour which will demonstrate how the President is delivering for communities across the country, including those that have been left out or overlooked. To date, the Administration has now launched over 50,000 infrastructure and clean energy projects and mobilized over $640 billion in private sector clean energy and manufacturing investments.
