On Friday, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Massachusetts with U.S. Reps. Lori Trahan and Jake Auchincloss to visit schools in Milford and Lowell. On these tours, Secretary Cardona will speak with students and school leaders about how American Rescue Plan funds are being used to support academic recovery, provide mental health supports for students, and connect students to high-quality workforce opportunities.

On Wednesday, U.S. Under Secretary of Education James Kvaal will participate in a roundtable discussion with undergraduate and graduate students about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program, at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) campus. The discussion will also highlight UIC’s efforts to support student success as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and recognize AAPI Heritage Month.
