Secretary Cardona to Travel to Vermont with U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders to Visit Two Elementary Schools, Speak with Families about Importance of Early Childhood Education and Youth Vaccinations

Tomorrow, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Burlington, Vermont where he will join U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders to visit two elementary schools. First, he will visit a pre-k program at Sustainability Academy at Lawrence Barnes to underscore the importance of early childhood education.

Secretary Cardona to Tour Capitol Heights Elementary School Vaccine Clinic, Speak with Families about Importance of Child Vaccinations

Tomorrow, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will visit Capitol Heights Elementary School where he will tour a COVID-19 student vaccine clinic and encourage students and families to get vaccinated. During the tour, Secretary Cardona will learn more about Prince George’s County Public Schools’ commitment to inoculating students ages 5-11. Secretary Cardona will participate in a brief press gaggle after the tour.
