2022 Promise Neighborhoods Competition Information

FY 2022 Promise Neighborhoods (PN) Competition

The FY 2022 PN Competition for new awards is now closed for most applicants.  For applicants from Florida, Puerto Rico, North Carolina, South Carolina and portions of Alaska the competition has reopened due to recent natural disasters.  Applications from affected areas are due on October 21, 2022.  Applicants are not required to submit an intent to apply to be considered for this funding opportunity.

FY 2022 Notice Inviting Applications

The Notice Inviting Applications (NIA) was published in the Federal Register on June 29, 2022.

An extension notice was published on July 25, 2022.  This notice extended the deadline to October 7, 2022.

reopening notice was published on October 14, 2022.  This notice reopened the competition until October 21, 2022 for applicants from certain areas with disaster declarations.

  • Notice Inviting Applications Available: June 29, 2022
  • Intent to Apply: July 29, 2022 (strongly encouraged)
  • Deadline for Transmittal of Applications: October 7, 2022

Description: This presentation will help applicants have a better understanding of the foundation of the Promise Neighborhoods program. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the history and expectations of the Promise Neighborhoods program should review this presentation.  Its purpose is to help entities to reflect on their current projects, programs, and partnerships to determine if they have the capacity to implement the Promise Neighborhoods program as intended and if it is a good fit for their respective communities.
