Fiscal Year 2024 K-12 Earmarks in the Appropriations Act, 2024
The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (the Act) includes congressionally directed spending (earmarks) entitled Congressionally Funded Community Projects (CFCP). The Act authorizes these funds and the Explanatory Statement accompanying the Act identifies the dollar amounts for the projects for which funds must be used. For fiscal year 2024, the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE) is authorized to award $88,084,000 to organizations identified to receive CFCP funds. The Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022 (the Act) included congressionally directed spending (earmarks) entitled Congressionally Funded Community Projects (CFCP). The funds for the CFCP program are broken down as follows: $140 million for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE), $249 million for the Office of Postsecondary Education (OPE), and $2.3 million for the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS).
