U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will join Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Administrator Deanne Criswell and American Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern on Tuesday, March 8, for a children’s reading event focusing on emergency preparedness. The event will be held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, D.C.

U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Boston to visit Rafael Hernández K-8 Elementary School, the oldest dual-language community school in the city. Joined by Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, and Superintendent Brenda Cassellius, he will tour the school and speak with students, teachers, and parents about the importance of multilingual learning.
