OSERS' Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Regulations Page

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) is moving to an accountability system that will be driven by results, a Results Driven Accountability system.

OSEP directly and through its partners and grantees, develops a wide range of research-based products, publications and resources to assist states, local district personnel and families improve results for students with disabilities.

The Early Childhood and Parent Team administers discretionary grants and cooperative agreements for projects to improve current practice for infants, toddlers, and pre-school-aged children with disabilities.

The Elementary and Middle School Team administers projects to improve current practice or advance the state-of-the-art related to the provision of services for elementary and middle school children with disabilities.

The National Initiatives Team administers projects that directly support the provision of services for infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities.

The OSEP Research to Practice Division provides leadership and oversees the implementation of knowledge development, transfer, and use to improve educational results for infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities.

The Office of Indian Education's Annual Student Artist Competition encourages Native students Pre-K through 12th grade to share their creative skills through art, writing, and video editing under a common theme.
