The Division of Academic and Technical Education (DATE) is responsible for helping all students acquire challenging academic, technical, and employability skills to succeed in postsecondary education and in-demand careers.
To this end, the division:
- Administers formula and discretionary grant programs under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act (Perkins).
- Provides assistance to help State improve program administration, implementation, and accountability.
- Implements national initatives that support high-quality career and technical education programs.
