Yesterday, U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon toured three schools in Florida to learn about how the state's school choice programs are creating successful outcomes for students, parents, schools, and communities.
The Secretary visited Doral Academy Preparatory School, a public charter middle and high school in Doral, FL; True North Classical Academy at Dadeland, a K-12 charter school focused on classical education in Miami; and Lubavitch Educational Center, a private K-12 Jewish Day School in Miami.
“Florida is a great example of state leaders, community members, schools, and parents coming together to best serve the unique needs of students,” said Secretary of Education Linda McMahon. “The schools I toured today are innovative, rigorous, and provide opportunities for hands-on learning. Students were engaged and excited to be in the classroom! Under President Trump’s leadership, we will empower states like Florida and ensure they have all the resources necessary to fund students, not systems.”
