On Tuesday, the White House Initiative on Advancing Education Equity, Excellence, and Economic Opportunity for Hispanics will kick off its fifth Latino Economic Summit in partnership with the Aspen Institute. U.S. Rep. Carolyn Bourdeaux and Biden-Harris Administration officials from the U.S. Department of Education, U.S Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, U.S. Department of Transportation, U.S. Office of Personnel Management, and U.S. Small Business Administration will participate in the summit.

Held at Georgia Gwinnett College, the forum will highlight the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to advancing equity and economic empowerment and the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act for the Latino community. The forum will also connect local Atlanta community members directly with federal leaders and resources and feature the following breakout sessions:

  • Advancing Opportunity through Education and Health Equity (presented by U.S. Department of Education)
  • Partnering for Prosperity in Rural Communities (presented by U.S. Department of Agriculture)
  • Advancing the American Dream: SBA resources for Small Business Owners and tools for Resiliency (presented by U.S. Small Business Administration)
