The Power Up Series presented by the White House Initiative on Advancing Educational Excellence, Equity, and Economic Opportunity for Black Americans (Initiative) consists of a collection of national, local, and virtual engagements in the Black community. The Power Up Series provides opportunities to share federal resources with local Black communities directly from the source through information, innovation, and inspiration.

This event in the Power Up Series will take place at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and will include a fireside chat with U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and former South Carolina State Senator Marlon Kimpson.
