On Friday, May 31, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona will travel to Phoenix, Arizona, where he will participate in a roundtable to highlight programs that train and hire mental health professionals. This follows a roundtable Secretary Cardona attended last week in Annapolis, Maryland, to highlight actions the Anne Arundel County Public Schools are taking to increase mental health services for students.
Following the roundtable, Secretary Cardona will visit a FAFSA clinic for high school seniors and their families. A press gaggle will take place following the clinic.
Finally, Secretary Cardona will speak with students who have received their seal of biliteracy and uplift the importance of a multilingual education. A press gaggle will take place following the event.
