On Tuesday, Oct. 15, the U.S. Department of Education (Department) will host the “Educación En Acción” (Education in Action) Summit, a day of professional learning celebrating Latinidad, Latino educators, Hispanic culture and Latino-related achievements of the Biden-Harris Administration and the Department. The event will bring together Latino influencers and celebrities who are using their platforms to advocate for Latino communities. The event will also showcase student performances by Los Tigres de Tolleson Elementary School District Mariachi Band from Arizona, Estrellitas de Sorto Latin dancers from Washington D.C., and Nino Ciampa and the Hartt Salsa All-Stars from the University of Hartford in Connecticut.
