Tomorrow, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona wraps up his national travel blitz visiting schools and colleges to highlight key education provisions within the President's Build Back Better agenda. During his visit to Sewell, New Jersey, Secretary Cardona and U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross will tour Rowan College of South Jersey. They will also participate in a roundtable discussion with students and education leaders about making higher education more affordable through provisions within the Build Back Better agenda, including providing two years of free community college for all students. Afterwards, Secretary Cardona and Rep. Norcross will visit North Camden Community Center where they will speak with students and local leaders about school reopening and ways American Rescue Plan funding can support efforts to re-engage disconnected youth.

Last month, the U.S. Department of Education published a resource describing how American Rescue Plan funds can be used to address community violence prevention and reengage disconnected youth this summer, during the upcoming school year, and beyond.
