Tour Stops in Michigan:

On September 8, U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon visited Detroit, Michigan on her Returning Education to the States Tour. The Secretary toured Pembroke Academy, a public K-8th grade charter school, and participated in a school choice roundtable with the House Committee on Education and Workforce Chairman Tim Walberg, Congressman John Moolenaar, Congressman Burgess Owens, and community leaders. Secretary McMahon then visited Renaissance High School, a magnet high school, and Washington Parks Academy, a public K-8th grade charter school.
 
While in Michigan, Secretary McMahon also toured Hillsdale Academy, a private classical school to discuss literacy with faculty, and Hillsdale College, where she met with college leadership and delivered remarks on restoring public trust in American higher education.
