OESE Sub-Office Functional Statements
Immediate Office
The Immediate Office directs and coordinates the administration of the OESE.
Office of Administration
The primary catalyst for developing and implementing effective management practices, continuous improvement processes, and organizational capacity building.
Office of Indian Education
The Office of Indian Education administers the Indian Education Program of ESEA, as amended, (Title VII, Part A).
Office of Migrant Education
Assistance to State educational agencies, institutions of higher education, or other institutions serving migratory children of migratory agricultural workers and migratory fishers and seasonal farm workers.
Office of Discretionary Grants and Contracts
Leads the implementation and development of effective and efficient policies processes related to ED's formula and discretionary grants and cooperative and interagency agreements.
Office of Evidence-Based Practices
Identifies and promotes effective practices to support academic and program excellence; ensures educational opportunities for all children; and improves the quality of teaching and learning.
State and Grantee Relations
Serves as the primary contact for the states and grantees, resolve issues, and be responsible for customer service to all grantees in those states.
