Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education (OCTAE) Functional Statements

Serves as the principal adviser to the Secretary on Departmental matters related to high school, career technical and adult education and life long learning as well as community colleges, workforce and economic development. 

Immediate Office

Provides overall direction, policy, coordination and senior leadership for OCTAE's programs and activities.

Adult Education Literacy Division

Policy and program advisor on all adult education matters pursuant to AEFLA, Title II of WIOA, and related legislation and regulations.

Academic and Technical Education Division

Policy and program advisor on all CTE matters pursuant to the Perkins Act and related legislation and regulations.
