OGC Deputy Assistant General Counsel for Educational Equity and Research

Francisco Lopez is the Deputy Assistant General Counsel for Educational Equity and Research and has served in that capacity since January 2012. Mr. Lopez joined the Office of the General Counsel in 1996. Prior to joining the Department, he litigated disability-related matters in administrative proceedings and federal courts. Before attending law school, he was a special education teacher.

Mr. Lopez received his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
