The Immediate Office of the General Counsel staff provides overall direction, coordination and leadership to the Office of the General Counsel, handles special assignments and provides support services for the Office of the General Counsel.
Senior Staff of the Immediate Office
The Immediate Office of the General Counsel includes three Deputy General Counsels (Deputy General Counsel for Program Service, Deputy General Counsel for Departmental Law and Postsecondary Education, and Deputy General Counsel for Ethics, Legislative, and Regulatory Services) who assist the General Counsel and head the three legal practice areas of the Office. The Immediate Office also includes other senior staff who handle special assignments and collectively assist the General Counsel in the overall direction, coordination, and leadership for the Office of the General Counsel.
