As part of Operation Allies Welcome, we recognize that there is an immediate and urgent need to provide high-quality education for Afghans resettling in the United States – inclusive of primary, secondary, postsecondary, and adult education and English language learning. Our Afghan allies and their families protected our troops, supported our diplomatic community, and served our country. Let us keep our promise to them by providing equitable, high-quality educational services and supports as we welcome them to our country.
To this end, we have curated a collection of educational resources to meet the needs of educators, service providers, families, and stakeholders across the continuum of education who are engaging with and supporting Afghan students and families. The resources - which include fact sheets, policy documents, and webinars - cover topics such as emotional health and wellness, civil rights and access to education, Afghan language and culture, and more.
