The FY 2026 Forecast of U.S. Department of Education (ED) Contract Opportunities is available for viewing or download below. All forecasted items are contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. ED may delay or cancel any forecast item at any time should program requirements change. All contract award dates are projections. This forecast is provided for informational purposes and does not obligate the government.
Consistent with the Revolutionary Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Overhaul and recent Executive Orders, including Executive Order 14398, ED continues to modernize its acquisition practices to enhance transparency, advance equity in Federal procurement, and streamline processes across EDAR and FAR-aligned policies.
Interested parties should monitor SAM.gov for notices providing specific information on current opportunities. On SAM.gov, interested parties can access synopses, download solicitations, and sign up for automatic updates. Opportunities can be filtered by agency, posting date, product, or service code, and NAICS code. Interested parties may also find opportunities through GSA eBuy, NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement (SEWP), and other Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs).
Small business concerns—including those certified in the 8(a) Business Development Program, HUBZone Program, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Program (SDVOSB), and Women-Owned Small Business Program (WOSB)—are encouraged to review the forecast for potential opportunities aligned to their capabilities.
