The Department's Publications (ED Pubs) program began five years ago to efficiently provide printed publications to customers. Since the program's inception, ED has fulfilled over 6,000 customer requests for printed materials. The last two years, however, saw a significant downturn for hard copy documents.
Please note that effective October 1, 2022, the official ED Pubs program was discontinued. Publications are still available – but only in digital format. You will have the option to view and download most resources using Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) or Microsoft Word. These resources can be found by searching ED's website, or by contacting the Information Resource Center at 1-800-USA-LEARN (1-800-872-5327).
Publications and resources related to financial aid for college or career school can be found at www.StudentAid.gov/resources.
Unless specifically stated otherwise, all publications issued by the U.S. Department of Education (Department) and all information available on the Department's website are in the public domain. These publications and information may be reproduced for non-commercial purposes without prior consent (with attribution to the U.S. Department of Education or the appropriate source).
