Teacher-to-Teacher Summer Workshops
As part of the Department's new Teacher-to-Teacher initiative, we are holding teacher workshops in seven cities-Denver, Colo., Anaheim, Calif., Portland, Ore., Pittsburgh, Pa., Orlando, Fla., St. Louis, Mo., and Boston, Mass. The workshops are designed by teachers for teachers. During the workshops, teachers will hear from their colleagues about how they have used research-based practices to close the achievement gap and help all children learn and progress. Subjects addressed will include mathematics, reading and science as they apply to diverse groups of students.
Attendance at the Teacher-to-Teacher Summer Workshops is free. Participants will be provided two nights lodging and a stipend for travel.
Space is limited. If you would like to attend a workshop or receive more information, please visit our Web site at www.teacherquality.us/TeacherToTeacher/Workshops.asp.
