Slide 30 of 39
Explanation of slide: Variability is reflected here in the range of the scores. Note that the student on different days showed a low of under 25 and a high of 70. While the trend is upward, the high degree of bounce in these data may suggest that there are some problems in the data measurement system itself, or that there are certain elements of time that impact the data. For example, the first data point might be the beginning of the week data collection (say Tuesday), and the second data point the Friday data collection. If you notice, the first data point of each pair is generally higher than the subsequent data point. This might be a clue regarding a student characteristic that is impacting the data.
