Writing Rubric

A writing rubric is an effective way to look at student writing. This slide is a copy of a four point rubric based on the California Standards for Writing. Teachers would use this rubric to determine if a student was writing at a proficient level for first grade. A sample of a proficient paper is on the right hand side.
