Step 1 As soon as possible after January 1 of your child's senior year in high school, decorative dingbatapply for financial aid by completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Completing the FAFSA explains how.

Step 2Step 2: Return the FAFSA electronically or by mail. You will receive a Student Aid Report which will tell you if you are eligible to receive financial aid. decorative dingbatIf you are eligible, the report will show your estimated family contribution (EFC). The EFC indicates how much money you are expected to contribute toward your child's education.

Step 3 Once a student is accepted by a school, the Financial Aid office will contact your family. You may be asked for additional information for state or campus aid programs. Next Step
