You Aren't Alone...Resources to Help you Help your Kids

Think College Early has begun to assemble different resources for information on early college awareness and access to educational opportunities after high school at the state and local levels. As new resources are created, we will add to this page. If you know of something that should be listed here, please send us an e-mail!

Resources from the Department of Education:

Publications for Parents - Selected Publications for Parents and Teachers.

Educational Resources by Area is a list of resources by states and outlying areas such as American Samoa, Guam, Micronesia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) of the U.S. Department of Education has many valuable resources for parents of children with special needs.

Community Resources

College Parents of America is the only national membership association dedicated to helping parents prepare and put their children through college easily, economically, and safely.

Family Education Network will link you to the schools in your community. Sponsored by the National PTA, the American Association of School Administrators, the National School Boards Foundation and Communities in Schools in partnership with Scott Foresman Addison Wesley. It's been rated a #1 family website.

Family Voices is a national grassroots network of families and friends speaking on behalf of children with special health care needs.

To the reader: Non-U.S. Department of Education websites are linked as a public service only. These websites are provided as a tool to help visitors explore the wide range of options and information available, and to help them make informed choices about how to prepare for and pursue postsecondary education opportunities. As such, the organization, services, advice, or products are not endorsed or guaranteed in any way by the U.S. Department of Education and are entirely the responsibility of the webmaster of the site visited.
