Training of Interpreters for Deaf Individuals

The Training of Interpreters for Deaf Individuals Program is designed to assist in training a sufficient number of skilled interpreters to meet the needs of individuals who are deaf and individuals who are deaf-blind by training manual, tactile, oral, and cued speech interpreters. The program ensures the maintenance of the skills of interpreters, and provides opportunities for interpreters to raise their level of competence. Individuals are trained in public and private agencies, schools, and other institutions.
