Speaker's notes: First, the research demonstrates convincingly that we have a problem to be solved. Let's examine statistical studies that plot changes in achievement levels over time and that allow comparisons of achievement across different types of learners and different education systems. Then let's examine transcript studies that provide a picture of what coursework students are taking in science. And finally let's take a look at students' career choices students are making. |
