The Monitoring Conference
August 24 and 25, 2005

RSA convened a conference of its Monitoring Redesign Initiative (MRI) stakeholders on August 24 and 25, 2005 in Washington, D.C.

The monitoring conference was open to the public and was held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 24, and 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday, August 25, 2005, at the Wardman Park Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.

At the conference, participants became familiar with RSA's monitoring obligations under Section 107 of the Rehab Act as well as the agency's goals for the monitoring system. The conferees were asked to identify desirable characteristics, outcomes and focus areas of the new monitoring system. In addition, conferees were asked for their input on improving communication and technical assistance.
