* Note: Overall "involvement levels" were determined by assigning each participant school a score of 1, 2, or 3 for each of the three involvement areas C—1 for low, 2 for moderate, and 3 for high. Therefore, total involvement scores could range from 3 to 9. For example, teachers at Breckenridge had a moderate level of involvement in design of assessment tasks (2), low involvement in setting standards (1), and high involvement in scoring (3), for a total score of 6 on the involvement scale. Total scores of 3 and 4 are interpreted as "low," 5 to 7 "moderate," and 8 and 9 "high" on the overall level of involvement scale.
