The National Diffusion Network is the only national educational dissemination system in the country. It offers the schools of the United States proven program that have demonstrated their effectiveness in improving student performance, lend themselves to use in a variety of educational setting and are reasonable in cost The NDN also offers technical assistance to school in identifying needs, matching programs to needs, and developing effective school improvement strategies using NDN programs and other resources of the United States Department of Education.

The National Dissemination Association recommends the programs of the NDN as resources to the schools and supports the efforts of the Department of Education to bmaden its offerings, coordinate Department services, and focus on long-term, comprehensive school improvement efforts. The NDN has a long track record for providing high quality staff development services and curricular materials. It continues to be a most valuable resource to the schools of the nation.
