Achieving the Goal--Goal 5- First in the World in Math and Science Technology Resources - November 1996
U.S. Department of the Interior
The Four Directions Project
This project of the Bureau of Indian Affairs provides technology to Indian Schools throughout the country. It seeks to expand student access to technology, improving communication among BIA schools, expanding learning resources, and exposing the wider community to new technologies. Software, computers, and cash to fund teacher training in eight pilot schools were provided by the Microsoft Corporation. Incorporating Native American themes into the curriculum and expanding access and use of technology by Indian students are also goals of the project.
