The mission of the Alternative Routes to Licensure Department is to recruit and prepare highly qualified candidates from mid-career, non-education professions into high-need teaching positions. Currently, the Clark County School District has critical shortage areas in special education, bilingual education, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), and secondary mathematics. The end goal is to provide highly qualified teachers for students.
