Deadline for Transmittal of Applications: Closed December 10, 2007

Deadline for Intergovernmental Review: Closed February 7, 2008

Applicants should note: that this program now allows for grants of up to 60 months (i.e., a 60 month project period), as set out in the Federal Register notice published on October 10, 2007 at 72 FR 57540. Applicants should submit a plan for the grant activities and the budget for the full period of time for which they apply. Applicants applying for the full 60 months should include a detailed three-year budget and total estimated budgets for years 4 and 5. The maximum award for the first three years of the grant, regardless of a grantee's proposed project period, will be governed by the maximum award amounts set out in the Federal Register notice, Section II. Award Information, Maximum Award, (1) of the announcement. The amounts requested per year for years 4 and 5 should be comparable to the amounts requested per year for Years 1 through 3.

Please note: that no Pre-Application Meetings will be held for FY 2008 competition. We suggest that interested applicants thoroughly read the application instructions, review the FAQs posted on this website, and address any questions to teachingamericanhistory@ed.gov.
