The 2008-2009 Teaching Ambassador Fellowship Program runs from the summer of 2008-June 2009. Please read the Program Overview and Application Instructions before beginning your application.

Candidates for the Teaching Ambassador Fellowship must complete the vacancy posted through USA Jobs. Up to 25 Teaching Ambassador Fellows will be selected for 2008-2009—up to 20 Classroom Fellows and up to 5 Washington Fellows. Selection announcements will be made by the summer of 2008.

Applicants must obtain support from their principals as part of the application process. The goal of the principal support is to foster collaboration at the school level and ensure open communication between participating teachers and their school leadership. Teacher applicants complete the majority of the application and secure the principal support, as outlined in the instructions of the vacancy postings.
