Dear Educational Opportunity Centers Project Director:
It is time to prepare the Annual Performance Report (APR) for the Educational Opportunity Centers (EOC) project for program year 2019–20, which is the third reporting year of the 2016–21 grant cycle. Beginning November 2, 2020, please visit https://trio.ed.gov/ to access the Web application. The deadline for submitting the APR is December 7, 2020. Please find the data structure and instructions for the report on the EOC Performance Report page.
What’s New
Section III of the APR requests counts of participants that have been served by educational status, and includes the option to report “Other participant”. The Department would like to better understand who are falling into this reporting option. When projects report a count greater than zero in the “Other participant” option the system will request that the project provide a brief explanation to help us to better understand who these participants are.
Important Information on Completing the APR
The APR Web application is not designed to provide comprehensive instructions on completing the report; therefore, it is imperative to read and follow carefully the full instructions provided on the Department’s Web site on the EOC Performance Report page.
The APR contains four sections; you must complete all four sections of the APR.
All grantees must register a password in order to protect the security of their APR data. All first-time users must register on the site in order to set up their account. To register, click on the "Login and Registration" link and provide the Project Director’s first and last name and email address. If the PR number, last name, and email address match the data that the Department currently has on file, users will proceed with the registration process by providing a password, password confirmation, and selecting two security questions before submitting the form. Users will be required to login again using the PR number and re-entering the password.
If the project director’s information has changed or needed to be updated from what the system holds, the user can use the registration page to contact the Help Desk to submit updated information for verification. The Help Desk will create a ticket in the TRIO Help Desk log, and initiate a verification process with the program office.
For all technical problems accessing the Web site or using the Web application, please contact the Help Desk by either telephone at (703) 885-8008 or e-mail at generaltrio@collabralink.com. Please note that the Help Desk will try to contact projects within two business days of receiving the telephone call or e-mail. The Help Desk will be available to respond to questions on weekdays that are not Federal holidays from November 2, 2020 until December 7, 2020. During peak times, it may take longer to receive a response; we therefore recommend that you prepare and submit the performance report as soon as you have collected complete data.
Please note, you must scan and upload the signed copy of the Section I Cover Page within five business days after you submit your online APR. Should you have any issues or concerns with uploading the Section I Cover Page, please contact the Help Desk for assistance at (703) 885-8008.
If you need to revise the APR after it has been submitted, please contact the Help Desk for assistance. Please note that the Department will only accommodate revisions until the due date for submitting the APR.
