• National Endowment for the Humanities
  NEH's home page features a link to "Summertime Favorites," a list of 300 classic books organized by age group and compiled with help from scholars and librarians.

• Laura Bush's Recommended Reading List
  The First Lady has compiled reading lists for Family Reading, Books to Read to and with Young Children, Books for Intermediate and Independent Readers, and Special Comfort Books.
