Objective: To provide an integrated life skills demonstration program in correctional centers including participatory competency-based curriculum and assessment.
Procedures: The project will integrate peer tutoring, counseling, and computer assisted instruction into a competency-based curriculum.
Outcomes/Results/Products: Outcomes include mastery of life skills competencies in the three-part foundation identified by the Secretary of Labor's Commission on Achieving Necessary Skills (SCANS) Report.The program will lead to the systemwide adoption of a life skills program in correctional centers.
